About the Role
Interns will provide financial services support to profit centers, performing accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations and special services. • Assist accountants to meet client contractual billing and accounts‑receivable requirements. • Process vendor invoices and keep accounts payable current for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, ensure lien waivers, contracts and insurance documents are on file. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project‑specific vendor invoice data and prepare multi‑project invoices for central processing. • Perform administrative invoice tasks such as vendor setup, sales/use tax reporting, and handling client tax‑exempt certificates. • Compile supporting documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide periodic progress reports to supervisors. • Apply academic knowledge to real‑world finance tasks and adhere to company policies and professional standards. • Utilize intermediate‑to‑advanced Excel and other MS Office tools for data entry and analysis.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in a four‑year college pursuing a degree in accounting, finance or a related field, have at least one year of coursework, and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, especially intermediate‑to‑advanced Excel, and ability to work independently and in a team are required. The position requires on‑site work at construction sites and involves physical activities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and occasional lifting of heavy items. The work environment includes exposure to noise, weather, and construction hazards. • Demonstrate interpersonal skills through leadership, volunteerism or community involvement. • Exhibit enthusiasm, proactivity, attention to detail and adaptability to new projects. • Work independently with oversight and collaborate effectively in team settings. • Maintain exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.

Benefits
The internship is with Turner’s New York North division, located in Albany, NY. It is a regular, non‑exempt finance internship from June to August 2026, paid $21‑$25 per hour. The role reports to the Accounting Manager or senior accountants in Operational Finance.
