About the Role

The position is responsible for managing complex projects from estimating through final completion, coordinating multiple detailers, products, placers and vendors. Emphasis is placed on upholding Nucor’s safety policies and maintaining a positive customer service environment while protecting profitability. • Review contract documents and coordinate detailing for cost‑effective delivery. • Manage full contract lifecycle, including scheduling, delivery, and cost control. • Ensure contractual obligations are met on assigned projects. • Coordinate requirements with contractors, rebar installers, engineers, and architects. • Schedule detailing and delivery with contractors, detailers, and production staff. • Assess project changes, determine scope, and process change orders. • Assist in obtaining customer acceptance of change orders. • Explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and customers. • Represent Nucor in project meetings as needed. • Work with the Detailing Manager to control financial aspects while preserving customer relations. • Generate reports on progress, costs, and scheduling. • Apply ACI codes and CRSI standards. • Resolve customer relations issues and disputes. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Provide effective leadership and coordination. • Travel occasionally for job‑site visits. • Perform typical office activities involving walking, sitting, standing, bending, and computer use; moderate noise level.

What You Bring

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. • At least 10 years of reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing, or related steel industry experience, or construction project management experience. • Understand basic contract law, business practices, and human relations. • Communicate clearly with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Utilize critical thinking and appropriate tools. • Wear required PPE (safety shoes, glasses, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection) on site.
