About the Role
The firm is hiring a Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to be the day‑to‑day client interface for a large‑scale, mission‑critical data‑center programme. The role ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with a focus on governance, commercial rigour and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will lead cost‑management activities, embed Turner & Townsend’s values and collaborate closely with project‑controls, engineering and procurement teams. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding updates for stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors. • Lead procurement strategy, review contractor pricing and conduct commercial negotiations. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement on payments. • Own change control: review, estimate, negotiate and reconcile change orders. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning and contingency management. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost data with schedule and scope, working closely with project controls. • Drive value engineering initiatives and cost‑optimization strategies. • Monitor market trends such as escalation, labour availability and material pricing. • Act as primary client interface to ensure service excellence and objective fulfilment. • Prepare executive‑level updates and respond to general contractor submissions. • Ensure compliance with internal Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members to foster a high‑performance culture. • Oversee financial management, including margin tracking and monthly fee forecasts. • Comply with SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field. • Bring 5–7+ years of cost‑management/project‑control experience in mission‑critical environments. • Possess strong knowledge of MEP systems and hyperscale data‑center infrastructure. • Demonstrate expertise in budgeting, financial reporting and EVM. • Experience in procurement strategies and commercial management of contracts. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is advantageous. • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. • Show strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. • Be proficient with industry‑standard cost‑management tools and software.
