Design Engineer, Structural

About the Role

The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—including civil, geotechnical, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and environmental engineers—to deliver integrated and innovative solutions while maintaining technical excellence. • Lead structural design and analysis for water retaining structures, industrial buildings, and facilities. • Participate in water treatment, desalination, and energy plant projects, ensuring robust, efficient, and compliant solutions. • Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed designs for reinforced concrete and structural steel with focus on constructability, durability, and lifecycle performance. • Conduct comprehensive site inspections, including confined spaces and heights, to assess conditions, verify design implementation, and support construction teams. • Contribute to asset condition assessments, structural integrity reviews, and maintenance planning for long‑term infrastructure resilience and safety. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, geotechnical, process, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, environmental) to deliver integrated project solutions. • Ensure technical excellence in structural calculations, design documentation, specifications, and reporting, maintaining high quality and compliance.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, have proven experience on large infrastructure projects, and possess strong knowledge of Australian Standards and construction methodologies.
