About the Role
• Follow blueprints to space and fasten rods in forms using wire and pliers. • Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms with fasteners and hand tools. • Place blocks under rebar to maintain clearance from the deck. • Bend steel rods using hand tools or rodbending machines. • Cut and fit wire mesh or fabric, positioning them to reinforce concrete. • Cut rods to specified lengths with metal shears, hacksaws, or bar cutters. • Assist other craft workers as needed. • Perform repetitive hand/arm motions and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and uneven terrain. • Operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) safely. • Communicate effectively with management and supervisors. • Read, write, and comprehend instructions and safety policies. • Perform basic math calculations and follow directions. • Maintain focus, make decisions, and attend to detail in distracting environments.

What You Bring

The role requires using various power tools, adhering to safety protocols, and working on plant operations or construction job sites. The position demands physical strength to lift up to 50 lb regularly (up to 100 lb occasionally), hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to perform tasks ranging from sedentary to heavy work, including climbing, bending, and working in adverse weather or confined spaces.
