About the Role
The internship involves collaborating with design and component engineering teams to support the development, maintenance, and validation of hardware test systems. • Document designs and test procedures for simulators and automated hardware test equipment. • Manage approval and release of documentation in the PLM system. • Request new component part numbers from Component Engineering. • Support upgrade, modification, and assembly of simulators and test hardware. • Validate and debug simulators using LabVIEW and TestStand. • Commit to 40 hours per week for the internship duration, with onsite presence five days per week during the first month and 3‑5 days per week thereafter.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will apply strong communication, analytical, and technical skills, including familiarity with mechanical specifications, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office applications. The role requires a commitment to a 40‑hour weekly schedule, with full on‑site attendance during the first month and a flexible hybrid arrangement thereafter. Preferred applicants are co‑op students available for the entire 16‑month term and who have prior internship experience. • Pursue an Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics degree (minimum third‑year completion). • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication in project‑based environments. • Understand mechanical component specifications and engineering drawings; CAD experience (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus. • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Work independently, multitask, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. • Exhibit high attention to detail and critical‑thinking problem‑solving abilities.

The Hardware Test Engineering Intern position is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario, running from May 2026 to August 2027 (16 months) with a compensation range of $23‑$30 CAD hourly and a 40‑hour work week.
