About the Role

In this role, the Designer assists in preparing and supporting design plans for projects of varying complexity, from CAD and Revit drawing set‑up to arc‑flash and coordination studies, prepares specifications for final engineer review, and finalizes CAD sheets, XRefs, and title blocks for deliverables. Essential duties include producing engineering drawings using the latest AutoCAD versions, reviewing sketches and specifications for design compliance, assisting engineers with technical studies, and contributing to daily drawing production, QA/QC, and CAD operations. The Designer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, stays current on drafting hardware and software updates, conducts fieldwork and research as needed, and manages client or sub‑consultant CAD coordination issues. • Prepare and support design plans, including CAD/Revit set‑up and arc‑flash coordination studies. • Draft specifications for engineer review and finalize CAD sheets, XRefs, and title blocks. • Review sketches, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with design concepts. • Assist engineers with technical studies and maintain timely drawing production and QA/QC. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage CAD coordination with clients/sub‑consultants. • Perform fieldwork, documentation, research, and drafting tasks as directed. • Stay updated on drafting hardware/software changes and procedural improvements. • Configure plotters, page setups, and plot styles for accurate printing.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma and specific CAD training, with experience in AutoCAD and preferably MicroStation. Additional expectations include proficiency with office software, excellent written and verbal communication, plotter configuration, page setup, and plot style knowledge, and the ability to work with varying levels of experience, with salary commensurate to experience. • Produce engineering drawings using current AutoCAD versions; MicroStation knowledge a plus. • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; possess at least a high school diploma and CAD training.
