About the Role
The role is a 100 % travel position responsible for leading electrical utility construction projects from start to finish. You will read blueprints, estimate work, and manage materials, labor, and costs while ensuring compliance with budgets, regulatory policies, and the company’s quality and safety standards. Responsibilities also include site acquisition, engineering coordination, risk management, vendor oversight, and implementing the Zero Defect Policy. • Lead and provide guidance to ensure project completion • Read blueprints and do estimates • Manage material, labor, and electrical projects and control costs based on project budgets • Manage and control costs for the financial cycle of the project, including budget control, financial tracking, reporting, bidding, proposal management, purchase orders, vendor invoice review and approval, and project close-out • Prepare scope of work with pricing, resources, and schedule for new and proposed projects per contract terms • Manage site acquisition, engineering, and construction projects in compliance with company, client, and regulatory policies • Use knowledge of customers' networks and business models to identify future deployment opportunities • Conduct risk management, contingency planning, and negotiate complex or sensitive issues to favorable resolutions • Enforce MasTec Network Solutions quality program and ensure safety guidelines are followed by staff and vendors, meeting or exceeding all applicable standards and regulations • Understand, train, and enforce the company quality program, processes, and standards • Manage inspection and acceptance work performed by vendors and company resources, ensuring quality of services, equipment, materials, engineering documents, and other deliverables • Implement and achieve the company's Zero Defect Policy

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a licensed State 01 Journeyman with three or more years of trade experience and a strong safety mindset. Proficiency with project‑management and estimating software, MS Office, and a solid understanding of electrical, network, and core construction concepts is required, along with excellent communication and decision‑making skills. Experience with 24VDC/48VDC systems, design/construction, and basic RF engineering is preferred. • Possess working knowledge of the electrical industry, including new site builds, deployment modifications, and basic real estate, site acquisition, and zoning knowledge • Track record of completing work with high quality • Strong problem‑solving skills and hands‑on approach • Preference for long‑term projects and teamwork • Licensed State 01 Journeyman • 3+ years of industry trade experience; high school graduate • Experience with 24VDC (48VDC preferred) • Project management scheduling software experience (e.g., Microsoft Project, P3e) • Strong proficiency with MS Office • Experience with estimating software • Self‑starter with excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to plan strategically and manage projects • Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships • Design and construction experience • Core network experience; some RF engineering experience preferred • Excellent decision‑making abilities
