About the Role

The Road Mechanic position involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and executing advanced repairs on customer‑site equipment while minimizing downtime. Technicians work with a diverse fleet that typically includes aerial work platforms, construction tools, power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil‑and‑gas equipment. The role emphasizes safety and may require travel to remote locations. • Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations. • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operations management. • Provide own mechanic tools of trade as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with trade school training preferred, and 1–2 years of experience servicing diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment such as generators, pumps, or HVAC units. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required; some locations may mandate a CDL and a minimum age of 21. Mechanics should be prepared to provide their own tools and possess solid knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, along with strong troubleshooting abilities. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment is essential, and bilingual (Spanish or other) skills may be needed based on location. The position demands physical activity including bending, squatting, lifting 50 lb or more, and working both indoors and outdoors as required.
