About the Role
Safety is the most important aspect of all Nucor jobs; employees are expected to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Set up gas‑shield MIG welder and weld parts to specifications. • Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks. • Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and tolerances. • Inspect finished products and spare parts against drawings and quality control documents. • Meet daily production goals. • Follow company safety practices and procedures.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include the ability to pass a welding test, willingness to work any 8‑10 hour shift, the physical capability to lift up to 40 lb and perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, and squatting, attention to detail, and basic math skills. • Clamp, hold, tack‑weld, heat‑bend, and bolt parts to meet technical requirements.
