About the Role

Our WSP Remediation Program Management team in Alberta is expanding, and we are growing the Environmental Liability Management team. In this role you will help clients meet regulatory and liability obligations for oil and gas assets by guiding them through the Alberta Energy Regulator’s Liability Management Framework and associated assessments, updates, and deliverables throughout an asset’s lifecycle. You will work closely with Project Managers and clients, and have the opportunity to contribute expertise across a variety of projects while enjoying a close‑knit team environment supported by mentorship, career progression, and employee resource groups. • Collaborate with Project Coordinators, Managers, Senior Directors, and field teams. • Review baseline, preliminary, and detailed environmental assessments per Alberta Contaminated Lands Framework. • Prepare liability assessments complying with current AER requirements. • Implement QA/QC procedures in all assessments. • Conduct client meetings to review documentation and deliverables. • Submit reports using AER’s OneStop system.

What You Bring

• 3+ years experience in environmental assessment and contaminated sites; field exposure preferred. • Experience with Site‑Specific Liability Assessments and AER Liability Management Directives. • Skill in drafting upstream Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments. • Proficiency in reviewing and uploading reports to AER OneStop. • Cost estimation experience for remediation and reclamation projects. • Due‑diligence experience for acquisition/divestment of oil & gas properties. • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in environmental, earth sciences, engineering, or related field. • Ability to analyze historical and current environmental data using MS 365. • Current or potential membership in a professional organization (e.g., APEGA, AIA, ASET) preferred.
