What You Bring
The Interior Designer role is critical to HDR’s mission of making a positive difference globally. The designer will apply strong knowledge of interior and architectural documentation, work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate excellent oral, written, and presentation skills throughout the design process from programming to construction administration. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp or Rhino (or similar tools), the Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is required. Preferred qualifications include LEED AP and WELL AP credentials, reflecting the firm’s commitment to sustainable and healthy design. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, have at least five years of experience in a relevant design‑firm environment, possess an NCIDQ certification, and hold an interior design license where applicable. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of interior design and architectural documentation practices. • Work independently and collaboratively, maintaining strong oral, written, and presentation skills. • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office proficiently. • Hold LEED AP or WELL AP credentials (preferred). • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. • Bring at least 5 years of relevant design‑firm experience. • Hold NCIDQ certification. • Maintain a state or provincial interior design license where required.
