About the Role
The Field Ops Lead is an onsite field lead responsible for executing emergency response and environmental remediation projects at client sites. They serve as the primary point of contact in the field, report daily activities to the manager, and ensure work scopes are met while adhering to health, safety, and regulatory standards. The role oversees health and safety for all field projects and subcontractors, develops safety procedures, and verifies subcontractor training and certifications. The lead assists the project manager with customer‑service tasks such as scope development, safety planning, waste characterization, shipping, and documentation. They supervise field work to ensure safety, compliance, and accuracy, coordinate with purchasing agents to obtain pricing and develop project budgets, create and track purchase orders, and organize job paperwork including health‑and‑safety records, vendor receipts, manifests, air‑monitoring data, and calibration logs. They also schedule subcontractors, obtain required certifications and plans, maintain company equipment, develop maintenance schedules, operate company vehicles, implement technical solutions, provide performance feedback, and cover for absent workers as needed. • Assist project manager with scope development, safety planning, waste characterization, shipping, and documentation. • Supervise field work to ensure safety, compliance, and accuracy. • Coordinate pricing with vendors and develop project cost budgets. • Create and track purchase orders for field projects. • Compile and organize health and safety documentation, receipts, manifests, and calibration logs. • Schedule subcontractors and verify training certifications, safety plans, and equipment procurement. • Maintain and develop maintenance schedules for company‑owned equipment. • Operate company vehicles for field project execution. • Implement technical solutions to improve equipment capabilities. • Provide performance feedback to leadership and cover for absent workers as needed.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, recycling techniques, purchasing, work orders, special licenses, and DOT training. Candidates must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple diverse responsibilities. Minimum requirements are at least two years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and potentially a special license such as a CDL. • Minimum two years of related experience. • Valid driver’s license; special license (e.g., CDL) may be required. • Knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, and recycling techniques. • Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
