About the Role

The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment while supporting the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. The role also includes training and mentoring both service and contract technicians. Daily responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, leading preventative‑maintenance audits, and handling control components such as relay logic, sensors, and motor starters. The technician will create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data, develop training and emergency‑repair plans, and sustain positive relationships across the Operations facility. • Lead a team of service technicians to install, repair, and maintain automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex mechanical/electrical problems and manage related projects. • Train and mentor service and contract technicians, developing training and emergency work plans. • Perform preventative‑maintenance audits and troubleshoot conveyor systems, control logic, sensors, and motor starters. • Create, update, and close work orders documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts usage. • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and standards. • Collaborate with Operations facility staff to ensure positive working relationships. • Lift/handle parts up to 49 lb; push/pull equipment up to 100 lb; stand, walk, and work 12‑hour shifts, including travel up to 20 %. • Perform repetitive motions, bending, crouching, and work in confined, dusty, or noisy environments.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility to work varied shifts, and at least three years of preventative‑maintenance experience together with blueprint reading and work‑order management. Preferred candidates hold an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, possess five or more years of experience with automated conveyors, robotics, and CMMS, and have demonstrated leadership and vendor‑management abilities. • High school diploma or equivalent; ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. • Minimum 3 years experience in preventative maintenance and blueprint/schematics reading. • At least 2 years experience managing work orders. • Associate degree or higher in mechanical/electrical field. • 5+ years experience with automated conveyors, controls, and robotic maintenance. • 2+ years applying electrical/electronic principles and using CMMS. • Prior leadership, vendor‑management, and apprenticeship experience. • Knowledge of material handling equipment safety standards and OEM requirements.
