About the Role
The position requires driving a strong safety culture, supporting pre‑construction activities, managing buyouts and submittals, coordinating logistics and risk, and overseeing stakeholder communication. It also involves leading project meetings, handling change orders, maintaining schedules with Lean principles, providing comprehensive documentation, reporting financial performance, and directing project closeout processes. • Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed. • Manage pre‑construction checklist, quantity takeoff, trade coordination, scope development, and bid packages. • Plan and execute buyout schedule, verify pricing, conduct gap analysis, and award subcontracts. • Set up submittal schedule, review and approve shop drawings and samples. • Coordinate logistics for material and equipment pricing. • Collaborate with risk management on subcontractor bonding and perform ongoing risk analysis. • Coordinate stakeholders including subcontractors, owner, field, design team, and vendors. • Issue change requests, evaluate subcontractor pricing, and obtain owner/architect approvals. • Lead monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and Owner‑Architect Committee meetings. • Process monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications. • Develop and maintain project schedules using Lean principles; identify and mitigate schedule impacts. • Document decisions affecting budget, schedule, legal, quality, and safety. • Provide regular reporting on project status and profitability. • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts; review budget variances. • Manage project closeout, including punch list, financials, warranties, and legal interfacing. • Support preconstruction client discussions and lead estimating and productivity analysis. • Identify, assess, and manage project risks; develop business plans to maximize financial success. • Oversee delivery of internal resources and negotiate change orders and fee enhancements. • Promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring non‑discrimination policies are applied. • Review and approve expense reports; collaborate with marketing on presentations.

What You Bring
Successful candidates possess advanced verbal and written communication skills, the ability to deliver effective presentations, and proficiency with MS Office, CMiC, scheduling software, BIM, and other construction technologies. They apply construction management fundamentals, Lean processes, and budgeting expertise to maximize profitability while building strong internal and external relationships. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience considered. Candidates must have at least ten years of construction management experience. The role demands a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 25 lb, occasional travel, and flexibility to work non‑traditional hours in varied conditions.
