About the Role

The Production Technician assembles, wires, fits, and mounts sub‑assemblies and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment, prepares units for testing, and ensures they meet quality and code specifications. • Assemble panelboards and switchboards to customer specifications using hand and power tools. • Perform electrical wiring assembly with wire strippers, pliers, and related tools. • Use established power‑checking procedures to verify electrical/mechanical integrity. • Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards and code compliance. • Receive, put away material, and prepare finished products for shipment. • Communicate job progress, problem areas, and part shortages to supervisors. • Recommend Lean improvements related to quality, processes, and safety. • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area according to 5S guidelines. • Cross‑train and flex across functions based on development and business needs. • Operate CNC bus fabrication, press brake, drill press, fork truck, jib crane, and other specialized equipment. • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow to install correct wires. • Measure torque tolerance and assemble hardware using appropriate measuring tools. • Follow manufacturing drawings and work instructions precisely.

What You Bring

The position requires at least one year of hands‑on assembly experience or a technical school diploma, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturing drawings. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the plant unless they are active‑duty military. • Minimum one year of assembly experience with hand/power tools or a one‑year technical school diploma. • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. • Experience with CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related processes preferred. • Location: candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work site, except active‑duty military.
