About the Role
The Senior Technician – Security is responsible for high‑quality installation, testing, and commissioning of integrated security systems, working closely with project teams from start to close‑out. The role requires hands‑on installation of video, access‑control, intrusion and related equipment, as well as providing customer training and maintaining detailed project records. • Mentor assigned technicians as subject matter expert. • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security systems. • Perform installations of NVR/servers, IP cameras, access control, intrusion devices, head‑end panels, intercoms, wireless devices, and switch gear. • Complete projects within scope, schedule, and budget. • Provide system operation training to customers. • Maintain detailed daily records and follow operational standards. • Maintain professional appearance and attitude. • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. • Review material options and verify count accuracy. • Keep jobsite clean and orderly. • Coordinate delivery of staged materials to the jobsite. • Collaborate with project management and field technicians for scheduling. • Work at required heights using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment. • Enter confined spaces when necessary. • Use power tools; occasionally lift or move up to 50 lb; work at heights over 6 ft.

What You Bring
• Minimum 5 years experience as senior/lead security technician with manufacturer certifications. • Experience with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems. • Valid US driver’s license with acceptable record. • Ability to pass pre‑employment screening. • Industry experience in healthcare, education, manufacturing, utilities, financial, or hospitality sectors. • Proficiency with video surveillance platforms such as Avigilon, Genetec, Milestone, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, and Exacq. • Knowledge of access control systems like Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, Identiv, Honeywell, Open Path, RS2, S2, AMAG, Gallagher, and Open Options. • Familiarity with intrusion systems (DMP, DSC, Honeywell, Bosch) and locking hardware (maglocks, strikes, mortise, cylindrical, ADA applications). • Skills in data terminations, field engineering, estimating, and blueprint updates using Bluebeam. • Experience with project tools such as Procore, Fieldwire, and Smartsheets. • Ability to program, test, and train end users on various security systems. • Willingness to travel out of town; vaccinations may be required for healthcare sites. • Regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop; use hands and talk/hear; require close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, job sites, and travel between locations; occasional office work; moderate noise level; possible confined space entry and high‑work environments.
