About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards and all applicable regulations. Daily vehicle condition reports are completed to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets, operating manual or automatic controls to lift, load and compact refuse, and transporting waste to the designated disposal site. The driver interacts professionally with customers and dispatchers, identifies and tags unsatisfactory containers, cleans accidental spills, monitors vehicle condition, and maintains cleanliness of the truck. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate the collection truck on assigned routes, loading, compacting and disposing waste at designated sites. • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify, tag and handle unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Clean accidental spills and maintain truck cleanliness, including packer blade and body. • Complete route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports and other required documentation while meeting productivity standards.

What You Bring
Drivers must complete required route‑productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, meet productivity standards, follow all safety policies, and actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. Strong customer service, time management, follow‑through, and adherence to company policies are essential. Minimum qualifications are a Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s licence with an air‑brakes endorsement, and the ability to work safely and efficiently while upholding the company’s standards. • Hold a Class B (or higher) CDL with air‑brakes endorsement.
