About the Role
In this role you provide general labor for both aerial and underground construction projects. You will perform manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with hand tools, as well as operate fiber‑blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable. Additional duties include conduit placement, map reading, material handling, vehicle movement, site maintenance, and adhering to prescribed safety procedures. You may also be called upon to operate and tow various equipment, climb poles with certified gear, troubleshoot RF and fiber line issues, and construct or repair underground services. Training and certification on equipment such as line trucks, bucket trucks, cable reels, saws, and drills are provided, and you will learn to read and work from design schematics while following NESC safety guidelines. • Perform manual labor such as trench digging, unloading materials, and job‑site preparation using hand tools. • Operate fiber‑blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable in conduits. • Place and secure conduit under direction of foreman or supervisor. • Read maps and design schematics to guide construction activities. • Support material handling, vehicle movement, and equipment operation as directed. • Conduct site maintenance tasks, including cleanup, vehicle washing, and landscaping. • Operate and tow equipment (line trucks, bucket trucks, flat‑bed trailers) after certification. • Climb poles safely with certified climbing equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair RF and fiber line issues and underground services. • Learn and become certified on specialized equipment such as cable reels, saws, and drills. • Follow NESC safety standards and all prescribed safety procedures.

What You Bring
We seek candidates who prioritize safety, possess a clean driving record, can lift up to 70 lb, and enjoy hands‑on problem solving. You should be able to read maps and schematics, have climbing certification or related experience, and bring practical knowledge of overhead RF and fiber construction, network architecture, and clearance codes. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, flagger certification, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment are also required. • Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license. • Lift and carry up to 70 lb and work in physically demanding conditions. • Hold climbing certification or related experience and be flagger certified as needed. • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
