About the Role

Key duties include assisting with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, using hand and power tools under supervision, and measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing wires, cables, and conduit. The apprentice will also help work on control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, and other equipment, splice and terminate wires, and handle material transport on site. Effective communication with foremen and crew, maintaining workflow schedules, and demonstrating professionalism are also required. • Assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems. • Use industry‑related hand tools and power tools under supervision. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire, cable, and conduit systems. • Work on control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, and switchgear. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Gather and transport materials to electricians on construction sites. • Maintain workflow schedules to meet productivity objectives. • Adhere to all Bergelectric safety policies and procedures. • Enroll in an approved apprenticeship program.

What You Bring

The Apprentice Electrician will work under a certified or licensed electrician at Bergelectric Corp., assisting with the installation of new electrical systems and the repair of existing ones while complying with all applicable electrical codes and company policies. This role supports commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects and is considered a safety‑sensitive position. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program and possess knowledge of electrical theory, basic and specialty circuits, magnetic induction, three‑phase transformers, and wiring methods. The ability to read single‑line electrical blueprints and familiarity with the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems are essential, as is basic tool safety knowledge. Physical demands include lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling conduit, and working while fully squatting, stooping, or kneeling with a 25 lb tool belt. The work environment involves variable weather conditions, high noise levels, and the use of ladders, man‑lifts, or reach booms. • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Read and understand electrical single‑line blueprints. • Apply knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and specialty systems.
