About the Role
To support its continued growth, Turner & Townsend is recruiting Lead/Senior Estimators with proven rail‑sector experience. The role involves acting as an embedded resource within client organisations while also supporting the wider Turner & Townsend Estimating Hub. The Estimating Hub provides a suite of commercial intelligence outputs that help clients make informed decisions. These include producing cost plans, offering assurance, supporting major programme set‑up and delivering data analysis and benchmarking. • Produce estimate and cost‑plan outputs ranging from order‑of‑magnitude to detailed, first‑principles estimates • Provide estimating and cost‑planning assurance services • Support major programme set‑up with estimating and cost‑planning expertise • Conduct data analysis and benchmarking for commercial intelligence • Deliver accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans efficiently • Control and manage the estimating/cost‑planning process at project level • Generate estimates and cost plans independently without supervision • Gather and share estimating/cost‑planning data across teams • Promote best‑practice estimating and cost‑planning within the organisation • Stay current with technical developments to advise on best practices aligned with business goals

What You Bring
Successful candidates will be qualified to a high standard in cost planning, estimating or quantity surveying, hold chartered membership (or be working towards it), and possess detailed knowledge of estimating processes and software. Experience delivering estimating or QS services on large projects is essential.
