About the Role
• Manage testing requirements (NETA breaker, building ground, lightning protection, annual fire alarm, fire suppression/protection, smoke detection/air sampling) and address deficiencies. • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for electrical and fire protection projects: meet deliverables, generate punch lists, develop scopes of work, collaborate with customers and contractors, identify root causes, and resolve claim disputes. • Review job plans and operating procedures for accuracy; facilitate communication to correct deficiencies against manufacturer and industry standards. • Generate and facilitate Requests for Information (RFI) to clarify and correct electrical and fire protection system processes. • Assist in developing field training programs; train, teach, and mentor technicians in electrical and fire protection. • Conduct root cause analysis and provide related training as needed. • Execute standards and criteria for specialized, difficult, or unusual requirements. • Maintain membership on engineering boards and act as the technical representative. • Coordinate projects with other disciplines, applying interdisciplinary knowledge to address design considerations. • Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies for program development. • Comply with health, safety, and environmental rules; ensure adherence to all applicable codes in programming, design, and construction. • Occasionally operate government or company motor vehicles and equipment as required. • Support other department staff as needed por and work overtime or adjusted schedules when warranted.

What You Bring
The Engineering Technician V performs non‑routine, complex assignments, planning and executing limited‑scope projects or portions of larger ones, and reviewing the technical work of others for adequacy and compliance. The position is paid at $51.04 hourly and is onsite/office‑based. • U.S. citizenship required. • Electrical and/or fire protection Journeyman license or professional engineering license in an electrical discipline. • Minimum seven years of experience (or equivalent education/experience) in electrical and fire protection. • Ability to obtain and maintain required intelligence community level clearance. • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
