About the Role
The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations leads collection activities across commercial, residential, roll‑off, and container services in a geographically dispersed area. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, the supervisor oversees drivers and helpers while implementing tactical initiatives to achieve functional excellence and budget goals. Key responsibilities include providing safety leadership, ensuring accident‑prevention programs, delivering a superior customer experience, optimizing route efficiency, and fostering employee engagement. The role demands adherence to safety, environmental, regulatory, and ethical standards while driving productivity and cost control. • Lead safety initiatives, remove unsafe conditions, and oversee accident‑prevention programs. • Partner with sales and maintenance to ensure safe routes and equipment compliance. • Provide exceptional customer service, meet missed‑pickup goals, and resolve service issues promptly. • Act as a company ambassador to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Set productivity goals, optimize routes for density, and manage labor and disposal expenses. • Implement service conversions and container upsizing to reduce route hours. • Create a collaborative team environment and coach employees for career advancement. • Direct large staff, set aggressive goals, and marshal resources to achieve objectives. • Apply problem‑solving, analytical, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills. • Collaborate across teams, generate creative solutions, and uphold ethical standards.

What You Bring
