BMS Technician
Commission, service and maintain building management systems (BMS) for HVAC installations
Job Highlights
About the Role
The BMS Technician role involves commissioning, servicing, and engineering a variety of installations to deliver and maintain high‑quality building management systems. Work must comply with site‑specified tasks, statutory requirements, and Automated Logic Australia standards, while completing tasks on time and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Provide service, preventative maintenance, and commissioning of BMCS/DDC control systems. • Perform software configuration, testing, commissioning, calibrations, diagnostics, repairs, and basic programming. • Execute jobs on site per Service Management/Operations directions. • Offer high‑level technical support to team members, installers, and service agents. • Coordinate and supply field data and documentation to Operations/Service Management. • Assist on critical jobs/projects with installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting as needed. • Participate in safety toolbox talks, site meetings, and ensure use of PPE and completed checklists. • Liaise with Service Group Administrators for team member administration. • Follow up “alarmed” calls to ensure customer satisfaction. • Participate in on‑call roster and protect company equipment. • Initiate Corrective Action Reports (CARs).

What You Bring
• Existing experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC/BMS knowledge. • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills. • Excellent oral, written, and reporting communication skills. • Proficient with computers, hardware setup, MS Office, and databases.
