Copper Fabrication Operator - 1st Shift
Fabricate and modify copper/aluminum busbars and related components on 1st shift.

About the Role
The Copper Fabricator Operator fabricates and modifies copper or aluminum bus bars and creates cutouts in doors and covers. The role includes managing the area schedule and making adjustments to ensure a steady, orderly workflow. • Utilize manufacturing information sheets, determine necessary parts, write requisitions and coordinate with the Kan Ban attendant to obtain materials from stock. • Operate fabricating equipment such as shear, punch, bender, and nibbler to produce or modify bus connectors, risers, taps, and mains. • Fabricate, modify, and assemble braces, spacers, barriers, and supports for copper or aluminum as required. • Use electric trucks and cranes to move material and product as needed. • Assemble, tape, or sleeve components when required. • Set up and operate nibbler/punch press to add cutouts and holes to doors and covers. • Use hand tools to deburr and finish pieces. • Clean and lubricate equipment, clear slugs and check punches.

What You Bring
• Work from oral and/or written instructions from supervisors, prints, sketches, and manufacturing information sheets. • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. • Reside within a 50‑mile radius of Fayetteville, NC. • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprints. • Minimum of one year manufacturing experience. • Fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting. • Sufficient knowledge to operate machines for metal part fabrication and ability to sketch bus bar assemblies from floor assemblies.
