About the Role
The Senior Communications Manager will lead communications for infrastructure projects across planning, environmental, design, and construction phases, develop grassroots outreach, manage public‑facing media, and coordinate with clients, creative teams, and senior leaders to ensure clear, consistent messaging. • Lead development of scope, schedule, and budget for tasks and projects. • Plan and implement communications strategies for infrastructure projects at all phases. • Execute grassroots outreach, including hotlines, emails, and canvassing of businesses and residents. • Develop campaign plans with target audience analysis, branding, messaging, and research. • Direct customer‑facing communications across social, print, video, and web channels. • Coordinate with clients and client‑facing teams to deliver successful projects. • Facilitate public meetings, hearings, open houses, and stakeholder gatherings. • Create and edit collateral such as surveys, presentations, newsletters, trainings, websites, handouts, videos, ads, press releases, and public notices. • Leverage technology to drive creative solutions and clear multi‑channel communication. • Align graphic design, web development, and social media to ensure brand consistency and user experience. • Mentor, train, and support junior staff and team members. • Monitor project health in partnership with business/accounting and operations leadership.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. • Experience in the architecture/engineering industry. • Knowledge of NEPA and its application to infrastructure projects. • Deep expertise in public involvement, stakeholder engagement, and public relations communications. • Proven ability to craft compelling stories that enhance messaging and engagement. • Strong project management capabilities. • Experience collaborating with designers, web developers, and social media strategists for cohesive messaging. • Proficiency in writing for social, print, audio/video, and web mediums. • Service‑oriented, client‑focused attitude with consulting experience. • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, including management roles. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities. • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive outlook. • High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues. • Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts. • Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign). • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
