About the Role
The Plant Packing Operator is responsible for operating packing equipment safely and efficiently to support the plant’s production goals. The role requires close coordination with supervisors and adherence to all safety and hazardous‑waste handling procedures. The operator assists in meeting client‑specified production requirements, monitors equipment condition, and communicates performance needs to supervision. Duties also include reading work instructions, moving materials, setting up work sites, maintaining tools, completing records, and performing general housekeeping. • Assist in meeting plant production requirements set by client/owner. • Monitor operating equipment and identify maintenance needs. • Communicate with supervisors to achieve production goals. • Read and interpret instructions and plan work activities. • Move materials and set up work sites. • Follow hazardous waste handling guidelines. • Complete records, maintain tools/equipment, and perform cleanup/housekeeping. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings. • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

What You Bring
The position calls for a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a related field. Candidates must work to precise accuracy standards, select appropriate tools, visually compare and interpret drawings, make measured decisions, and be comfortable working at heights. The job involves standing, walking, and occasional sitting, with regular lifting and carrying of up to 50 lb and pushing/pulling forces of up to 70 ft‑lb. Workers must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform frequent reaching, handling, and fine‑motor tasks. • Stand (50%), walk (30%), sit (20%); lift and carry up to 50 lb; push/pull up to 70 ft‑lb. • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; occasional reaching, handling, fingering.
