About the Role
The Field Engineer assists the Project Engineer by serving as the technical source of information, responding to queries about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders, and helping prepare change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and submittal reviews. The position requires maintaining professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers while supporting project management plans, quality management, safety culture, and risk management activities. • Assist in developing and maintaining as‑built drawings, processing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasts; manage meeting documentation. • Support and execute the Project Management Plan, including change management and scope activities. • Administer the project quality management plan and promote a safety‑first culture. • Help calculate daily production rates and unit costs; participate in risk management and environmental controls. • Oversee BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers. • Manage documentation and submittals for LEED certification and update digital record drawings. • Provide lines, grades, and layout as needed while maintaining an organized log book. • Track weekly quantities, maintain accurate logs, and assist with budgeting and cost control. • Support superintendents in work execution and resolve field problems. • Use telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices to communicate. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures throughout the shift.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate responsibility and effective communication with team members. • Hold a four‑year construction‑related degree or equivalent technical/field experience (entry level). • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Wear required personal protective equipment (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.). • Frequently reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/push/pull objects.
