About the Role

Responsibilities include installing and configuring NMS and backup software, verifying compliance with RIL cybersecurity standards, analyzing network anomalies, reviewing firewall rules, and maintaining domain policies. The incumbent will implement security advisories, update antivirus tools, manage whitelisting, HIPS, DLP, and perform audits, root‑cause analysis, and VLAN/DMZ configuration. They will also propose posture improvements, update BIOS, generate reports, maintain asset inventory, and assist in disaster recovery planning. • Manage firewall and switch replacement, commissioning, firmware updates, and IPS/I4DS signature updates. • Perform backup and recovery operations for firewalls, switches, and network devices. • Analyze logs and diagnostic alerts from firewalls, ePO, endpoints, WSUS, NMS, and backup software. • Install, configure, and maintain NMS and backup/recovery software. • Verify compliance with RIL cyber‑security standards and remediate identified gaps. • Monitor network traps, logs, and alerts to detect traffic anomalies. • Review and assess firewall rule impacts. • Troubleshoot issues using firewall and backup recovery console logs. • Modify, verify, or create domain policies as directed by RIL‑EIC. • Apply cyber‑security advisories and update USB AV scanners with latest patterns. • Manage antivirus, anti‑malware updates, whitelisting, HIPS, and DLP via ePO. • Harden servers and endpoints following RIL‑EIC instructions. • Execute cyber‑security audit tools on host machines per RIL‑EIC guidance. • Conduct root‑cause analysis and remediation for security incidents. • Configure VLAN and DMZ networks. • Propose improvements to the organization’s cyber‑security posture. • Update BIOS firmware and apply software patches to machines. • Produce reports, maintain failure logs, and track KPIs for cyber‑security performance. • Maintain asset inventory and assist in disaster recovery planning. • Coordinate with OEMs to resolve issues with cyber‑security tools.

What You Bring

The role requires extensive knowledge of firewalls, switches, network security, and related tools. The candidate will read process control network architecture, identify cyber‑security devices per the Purdue model, and manage firmware, IPS signatures, and backup/recovery tasks. They will also interpret logs and alerts from firewalls, ePO, WSUS, NMS and other systems. Candidates must have 9+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple agencies. The position demands reliability, responsibility, and the capacity to work closely with the RIL‑EIC and OEM partners.
