About the Role
The Contract Surveyor will provide technical support to the lift team and to colleagues in Development and Planned Investment, covering day‑to‑day operational responsibility for specific contracts across all Clarion regions and ensuring contractors consistently deliver excellent customer service. Key duties include leading special projects such as procurement, developing contract specifications, and validating repair quotes, while maintaining accurate lift component data. The role also involves regular contract meetings, daily communication with contractors and internal stakeholders, and close oversight of repair management. • Provide technical support to Clarion’s Lift Team and related departments. • Manage day‑to‑day operational responsibility for lift contracts across all regions. • Lead special projects including procurement, contract specification development, and repair‑quote validation. • Maintain accurate lift component data and oversee repair management. • Participate in contract meetings and liaise daily with contractors and internal stakeholders. • Ensure contractors deliver excellent customer service and comply with standards.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of passenger and domestic lifting equipment, LOLER regulations, relevant British Standards, telecommunications, and proven contract management experience within a social housing context. It is advantageous to hold a qualification that allows access to lift pits and car tops. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment, and may be required to travel for ad‑hoc site visits. The role offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements and is subject to a Basic Criminal Record Check. • Required: knowledge of passenger/domestic lifts, LOLER, British Standards, telecommunications, and contract management in social housing. • Experience managing contractors within a housing context. • Advantage: qualification to access lift pits and car tops. • Must be eligible to work in the UK and reside in England or Wales. • Subject to Basic Criminal Record Check.

The position is based in London (Corsica St/Greater London House/Borehamwood) or Haywards Heath, offering a permanent 36‑hour week with a salary range of £49,299‑£57,992 in London and £46,821‑£55,096 in Haywards Heath.
