About the Role

The role involves optimizing packaging for various products, cross‑training across all department functions, and independently identifying, counting, sorting, packaging, and tagging completed parts for shipment. The employee will also load and unload LTL and flatbed trucks, build crates in the woodshop, read and interpret pick tickets, and operate powered industrial trucks. Additional duties include training other employees, handling receiving functions for inbound freight, performing data entry, inspecting incoming product against print and quality specifications, and ensuring compliance with receiving and quality procedures. • Optimize product packaging • Identify, count, sort, package, and tag parts for shipment independently • Load and unload LTL and flatbed trucks • Build crates and work in the woodshop to support packaging • Operate licensed forklift and powered industrial trucks • Train other employees as needed • Perform receiving duties, including freight verification and data entry • Inspect incoming products against print and quality specifications • Ensure adherence to receiving and quality procedures • Process returned products for restocking and notify Quality of non‑conforming material

What You Bring

Candidates must have prior experience operating stand‑up or sit‑down forklift trucks and be licensed to operate powered industrial trucks. Preference is given to applicants residing within 50 miles of Pinckneyville, IL, though active‑duty military members are exempt from this geographic restriction. The role requires the ability to read measuring tools and engineering drawings, work with trucking manifests and packing lists, learn SAP shipping functions, and use shipping‑specific tools. No relocation assistance is offered. • Cross‑train in all department functions • Read and interpret pick tickets accurately • Prior experience with stand‑up or sit‑down forklift trucks • Ability to read measuring tape, calipers, square, protractor, and engineering drawings • Proficiency with trucking manifests, packing lists, and shipping tools • Ability to learn SAP Shipping functions • Reside within 50 miles of Pinckneyville, IL (military exemption applies)
