About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Project Manager for our Higher Education team to lead large‑scale construction projects. The role requires managing stakeholders, tracking critical milestones, ensuring governance and best‑practice application, and delivering formal status reports. The position will oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, coordinate suppliers, and provide technical support to owners, architects and regional stakeholders. • Manage architects, engineers and supply‑chain stakeholders to deliver compliant projects. • Track and control critical milestones to prevent schedule slips. • Apply effective project governance, processes and systems. • Ensure best‑practice standards across all projects. • Produce formal project status and other required reports. • Monitor multiple construction projects to verify design standards are correctly applied. • Coordinate supplier interfaces using monthly trackers and weekly reviews. • Facilitate project information flow through regular meetings and written communications. • Forecast and update key project milestones. • Oversee local design teams in line with commission criteria. • Provide technical support to owners, architects, contractors and regional stakeholders. • Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field. • Independently review status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs. • Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize new opportunities. • Advise project teams on strategic approaches to meet client and business objectives. • Capture key project learnings for knowledge management. • Identify and implement internal process improvements. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls where applicable. • Manage design and construction phases for higher‑education or medical/life‑science research facilities valued at $100M+.

What You Bring
• Offer cost‑control, value‑engineering and constructability expertise. • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 5‑7 years of project management experience in construction. • Strong organizational, management and collaborative skills. • Effective presentation and communication abilities. • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and construction project‑management tools. • Experience with higher‑education facilities, preferably medical or life‑science research labs, as designer, construction manager or owner’s representative. • Willingness to relocate to or travel weekly to Brownsville, Texas for a full‑time onsite role. • Experience in South Texas market sector preferred.
