About the Role

The Field Chemist supports the Lab Pack Program, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), and other field activities by delivering on‑site services that include waste characterization, packaging, handling, and transportation while maintaining safety, detail, profitability, and efficiency. Key duties involve providing lab‑packing services at customer locations, sampling and characterizing both hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, generating waste profiles for end‑user facilities, preparing price quotes, maintaining detailed on‑site waste inventories, transporting waste to transfer or end‑user sites, completing required paperwork for accurate invoicing, off‑loading waste at destination facilities, de‑packing and consolidating waste, and offering technical support.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of chemistry principles, waste processing protocols, and analysis techniques; the ability to present findings concisely, handle challenging situations constructively, and use computer technology for communication, data gathering, and reporting; strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and rapport‑building skills; and a detail‑oriented mindset with high accuracy for detecting data inconsistencies.

Minimum qualifications are a valid driver’s license, the ability to complete a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training upon hire, and a pay range of $18.50 to $25.47 per hour (varying by locality).
