About the Role
The Compliance Monitor increases recycling and organic waste diversion by analyzing assigned customers' discards and recommending, coordinating, and enforcing appropriate recycling and organics collection service. This position is best suited for someone who is organized, self‑driven, and likes to work independently. Key duties include auditing commercial and residential waste streams to identify contamination and improvement opportunities, conducting waste audits by assessing material types, recording weight data, photo‑documenting materials, and summarizing findings in reports. The role also coordinates audit logistics and travel with Operations, travels to client sites to perform hands‑on audits, participates in client education events, conducts site visits to ensure program compliance, explains program logistics and positive impacts, distributes informational materials, observes collection practices, enforces policies, monitors customer compliance, maintains a filing system of evaluations, and documents daily activities using Excel or cloud‑waste reporting software while performing other assigned duties.

The pay range for this position is $25.15 to $34.60, varying by locality and reflecting minimum wage requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
