About the Role

• Lead end‑to‑end cost management for hyperscale data‑center programmes, aligning scope, budget and schedule. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using industry benchmarks. • Review, negotiate and control change orders while ensuring robust commercial governance. • Conduct pricing reviews of contractors/sub‑contractors and shape procurement strategies. • Integrate cost forecasts with project schedules and milestones in coordination with scheduling teams. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and financial updates to stakeholders. • Serve as primary liaison with clients, consultants and vendors, maintaining strong relationships. • Perform cost‑risk analysis, scenario planning and market trend monitoring for escalation and pricing insights. • Drive cost‑optimization and value‑engineering initiatives to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set, track and report KPIs and critical success factors to senior leadership. • Manage financial performance through internal systems, Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies. • Identify and implement improvements to cost‑management processes, templates and tools, and mentor junior staff.

What You Bring

The firm is hiring an Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data‑center programme. This client‑facing leadership role requires strong communication, stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive collaboration across the project lifecycle while upholding Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision. • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred. • 8–10+ years of cost‑management or project‑controls experience on large, mission‑critical construction projects. • Proven client‑facing consultancy experience with strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. • Expertise in MEP systems, budgeting, Earned Value Management, procurement and industry cost‑management software (CostX, Oracle, Primavera, Excel). • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is highly desirable. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
