About the Role
• Lead review of detailed electrical engineering requirements for water treatment and desalination plant designs. • Provide technical oversight during bidding, evaluating proposed electrical systems and procedures. • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to improve bid quality and interdisciplinary collaboration. • Support standardisation tasks and develop consistent technical approaches for bids. • Optimise electrical systems for water treatment projects and prepare equipment data sheets. • Conduct technical tabulations for desalination plant components and review post‑purchase documentation. • Extract and communicate key technical information from bid documents and propose improvements. • Contribute to client proposals, presentations, and defence submissions. • Maintain accurate documentation throughout bid and project phases. • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors. • Supervise and guide team members to ensure high‑quality deliverables. • Apply strong knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 61439) and SA Water/WSAA requirements. • Develop and review SLDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, electrical calculations, and tender documentation. • Lead, mentor and ensure high‑quality engineering output across disciplines.

What You Bring
Acciona Agua is looking for an Engineering Manager with extensive experience in water infrastructure projects such as wastewater treatment, drinking water treatment, and desalination plants. The role will be pivotal in supporting key tenders and delivering projects throughout South Australia. Candidates must possess a strong electrical engineering background for water‑process facilities, be proficient with Australian standards and SA Water/WSAA requirements, and demonstrate the ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s preferred), eight or more years of relevant experience, and chartered (CPEng) status are preferred. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s desirable) with 8+ years’ experience in electrical design for water/process infrastructure. • Experience in EPC/D&C projects, tender preparation, and project delivery; proficient with ETAP/PowerFactory and AutoCAD. • Chartered (CPEng) status or working toward it; ability to travel to South Australia project sites.
