About the Role
• Provide advice to infrastructure and natural resource management projects for private and public sector clients • Lead and coordinate environmental surveys and impact assessments of terrestrial ecosystems, including flora, fauna, biodiversity and habitat • Deliver environmental analysis, research and field surveys • Produce technical reports for clients and contribute to proposal and tender development • Establish and drive efficient, effective delivery of all ecology projects • Manage project delivery throughout the lifecycle, accountable for time, cost and quality • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of business unit initiatives • Build and maintain client relationships on existing projects and new opportunities • Promote a high‑performance culture, continuous improvement, and mentor junior team members • Support the Business Development Leader and other colleagues on opportunities and pursuits

What You Bring
The Environment team provides strategic and practical solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges. They are seeking a Senior or Principal Terrestrial Ecologist with BAM accreditation to lead the Ecology practice across the NSW region. The role joins a highly regarded team of experts in marine, aquatic and terrestrial ecology working on projects throughout the Asia Pacific. • Hold tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science and/or Ecology • Minimum of 5 years post‑graduate ecology experience, preferably in consulting, construction or regulatory settings • Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation or working towards it • Demonstrated identification skills for NSW flora, fauna and ecological communities • Thorough knowledge of relevant NSW/ACT standards and legislation • Possess a driver’s licence; 4WD experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal skills for client liaison and junior staff development • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams • Strong commercial acumen to manage project finances and identify business development opportunities • Physically able to stand and work in field conditions, including remote areas for extended periods • Professional memberships
