About the Role
The Recycling Center Maintenance Mechanic – B is responsible for repairing and maintaining recycling equipment to ensure safe and productive operations. Typical tasks include routine maintenance and repair of balers, conveyor systems, and compactors. The role involves diagnosing mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software, and technical manuals, then repairing or replacing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components such as belts, motors, gearboxes, and bearings. The mechanic communicates with supervisors and equipment operators, reviews preventative techniques with users, completes work orders and time cards, performs scheduled preventative maintenance, follows all safety policies, and assists other technicians as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in industrial equipment maintenance or a trade school certification, as well as experience with welding or electrical work. Millwright or fabrication experience is a plus, and forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain within three months) is required. Strong problem‑solving skills are essential.
