About the Role
Travel may be regional or nationwide, including overnight trips, and the role supports senior technicians and project managers on larger system start‑ups. Collaboration with larger teams of Field Service Representatives and acting on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational matters are also part of the job. • Perform equipment assembly, startup, diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance on power distribution and critical power systems. • Troubleshoot issues with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support and district service teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs and startup data sheets. • Travel regionally (including overnight) and support senior technicians and project managers on complex system start‑ups. • Provide on‑site operational support and act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve issues. • Maintain safety standards (lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E/OSHA) and report hazards, incidents and near‑misses. • Utilize test and diagnostic equipment, read schematics/blueprints, and produce clear service documentation.

The position requires a blend of technical service, customer interaction and continuous learning, with a focus on equipment servicing, problem solving and accurate documentation. Employees work with managers and regional service directors to address escalated issues and are encouraged to pursue ongoing product and safety training. • Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 40 lb, working in extreme temperatures, confined spaces and standing for extended periods. • Hold an Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training or equivalent electrical‑related experience; 2+ years field service repair with UPS, power distribution or similar equipment. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and company digital tools.

Benefits
For this full‑time U.S. based position the salary range is $66,000 – $99,000 per year, inclusive of base pay and a short‑term incentive, with individual pay determined by performance, knowledge, skills, experience and education. Schneider’s Field Service Representatives collaborate with customers, team members and third‑party partners to assemble, start up, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on both company‑owned and third‑party equipment in dynamic environments. They receive direct product training and training on digital and physical tools, and are equipped with service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices and laptops. This site‑based role offers a 40‑hour guarantee with overtime and most work is performed at customer sites. New hires experience eight weeks of in‑person training at Schneider’s state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dallas, TX (expenses paid) within the first 180 days, followed by online training and mentorship from a local area mentor to complete onboarding.
