About the Role

The Safety Specialist 2 will coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and increasingly complex construction projects, conducting safety inspections, documenting hazardous condition abatements, writing reports, and performing trend analysis in support of JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. • Coordinate and implement field safety program for routine construction projects. • Conduct regular walk‑through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies. • Perform safety audits, document hazardous conditions, and recommend abatement measures. • Provide project‑specific new hire orientation and enforce drug and alcohol policy compliance. • Monitor prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs. • Attend pre‑planning, progress, and other project meetings to discuss safety matters. • Support field leadership by organizing safety meetings, committees, and chairing the project safety committee. • Assist in investigating project‑related accidents and recommend process changes. • Coordinate with injured employees and clinics to ensure timely treatment and return‑to‑work, compiling injury progress reports. • Monitor site safety incentive program. • Apply advanced safety knowledge to identify complex issues and develop abatements. • Use expertise in equipment, regulations, and work processes to make project‑specific safety recommendations. • Perform trend analysis using internal safety management systems to identify problem areas and propose solutions. • Provide guidance and training on basic and intermediate safety topics for team personnel. • Assist safety leadership during insurance audits. • Oversee complex projects, including one large or multiple projects. • Enforce all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. • Operate intermediate‑level company safety software, processes, and tools. • Recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures. • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members across projects.

What You Bring
