About the Role

• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized transmission lines safely. • Lead crew members in the foreman's absence and conduct pre‑job or tailgate briefings. • String overhead wire, set poles/anchors, and install/remove mechanical jumpers. • Troubleshoot transmission system issues and execute hot‑line work, including phasing and recloser operations. • Operate digger derrick, climb poles/towers, and conduct heavy lifting, rigging, and rescue/escape procedures. • Read and interpret blueprints, job prints, and work orders to plan safe work. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools, and inspect rubber goods and PPE.

What You Bring

The Class A Lineman Transmission is a skilled position responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems. This role works at various locations and may require travel to another state depending on customer demands. The job requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, heavy lifting over 50 lb, and work in inclement weather, heights, and confined spaces. Employees may be exposed to fumes, dust, gases, or poor ventilation but are not subjected to typical office conditions. • Minimum five years recent field experience with transmission lines. • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods in various locations. • Ability to lift over 50 lb regularly and perform rigorous physical labor in all weather conditions. • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and non‑standard schedules.
