About the Role

• Lead and coach crew members in safe, productive work. • Conduct pre‑job or tailgate briefings for all tasks. • String overhead wire and set poles, anchors, and tensioners. • Install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems and supervise repairs. • Replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits safely. • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and PPE in good condition. • Identify primary and secondary voltage, induced voltage, and proper sag. • Phase circuits through substations using phasing sticks. • Perform grounding procedures and safe work planning from job prints. • Climb wood, steel, and other structures while using appropriate equipment. • Execute reconductoring, hot‑stick work, and live‑line glove operations. • Install and remove mechanical jumpers and use load‑bust tools. • Request and obtain line clearances, understand flag and tag protocols. • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, adhering to safety rules. • Communicate effectively in English and inspect crew work for quality. • Accept overtime, weekend, and holiday work as needed.

What You Bring

The Foreman position involves skilled construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. Work is performed at various locations and may require interstate travel based on customer demands, with a strong emphasis on safety while handling both energized and de‑energized lines. The role demands rigorous physical labor, the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and exposure to inclement weather, loud noise, and airborne particles. Employees must follow strict safety protocols, maintain equipment and vehicles, and adhere to company policies and reporting procedures. • Maintain at least five years of recent field experience. • Travel long distances on short notice and lift over 50 lbs. • Possess a CDL, perform regular PPE inspections, and complete required paperwork.
