About the Role
The Senior Energy Marketing Advisor reports to the Sales Manager, Business Sales, and plays a critical role in driving growth in the commercial and industrial sectors. Using a consultative approach, the role blends strategic sales and marketing expertise with deep knowledge of Alberta’s energy landscape to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and enhance profitability. Key responsibilities include designing and executing marketing strategies to meet sales targets, identifying emerging market trends, supporting pricing and product positioning, acting as a brand ambassador, building long‑term client relationships, negotiating complex contracts, applying consultative sales methods, monitoring regulatory changes, preparing forecasts and executive presentations, partnering with sales, operations and regulatory teams, mentoring colleagues, and representing ATCO Energy at special events.

What You Bring
• Skilled relationship builder and communicator • Focused and detail‑oriented individual • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field (MBA preferred) • 10+ years of experience in energy marketing, account management or commercial sales • Strong understanding of Alberta’s energy market, commodity pricing and regulatory frameworks • Proven ability to develop strategic sales and marketing plans and manage high‑value accounts • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite • Demonstrated track record of new sales/business development • Entrepreneurial spirit and strategic mindset • Naturally curious and able to consultatively sell and advise clients • Agile in identifying and solving problems • Analytic skillset in market and financial analysis • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for ~20% travel within the province
