About the Role

The foreman leads daily site construction activities, ensuring the crew meets production targets and adheres to MasTec’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA and TIA‑10‑48. He/she oversees site operations, quality of work, maintains required paperwork, compiles and uploads closeout documentation, and coordinates with customer representatives. The role also includes providing leadership, training, mentorship, and maintaining equipment and vehicles in operational condition. • Lead daily site construction work to meet production goals. • Implement MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Ensure safety compliance for crew and site. • Oversee daily operations and quality of work at assigned sites. • Maintain and submit daily paperwork, timesheets, and site closeout documentation. • Upload closeout documents to customer interfaces and coordinate with customer representatives. • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to crew members. • Keep equipment and vehicles operational; perform regular maintenance. • Serve as mentor for less experienced technicians and handle other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of five years’ experience in the communications construction field, and demonstrated expertise in construction, rigging, and safety practices. Required skills include reading and interpreting site plans and RFDS, strong organizational and computer abilities, and a valid driver’s license; physical fitness to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours is essential. Relevant certifications such as WSA, First Aid, CPR, and equipment‑specific trainings are preferred. • Minimum high school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of industry experience. • Proven construction, rigging, and safety expertise; knowledge of safety standards and regulations. • Certifications such as WSA (preferred), First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR, Connector attachment. • Ability to read site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and statements of work. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to maintain FDOT logs. • Strong organizational, computer (Excel, Word), and communication skills. • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and maintain good fitness. • Ability to lead, teach, and enforce proper work and safety procedures.
