About the Role
In this senior leadership role you will guide multidisciplinary environmental teams and shape complex, transformative environmental programs across Ontario and beyond. Your deep expertise, strategic vision, and leadership will drive excellence in environmental assessment, remediation, risk assessment, client strategy, and market growth. You will provide strategic technical leadership across site assessment, remediation, and risk assessment programs, ensuring high‑quality delivery and regulatory compliance. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑impact projects influencing community planning, land development, infrastructure, and sustainability outcomes, while mentoring talent and acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and major clients. You will champion innovation by advancing new methodologies, standards, and best practices, increase WSP’s visibility through industry participation, drive business growth through seller‑doer leadership and proposal oversight, strengthen cross‑sector collaboration, and support risk management on major pursuits. • Provide strategic technical leadership for environmental site assessment, remediation, and risk assessment programs. • Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high‑impact projects influencing community planning, land development, and sustainability. • Mentor and develop talent, strengthening succession planning and technical excellence. • Act as trusted advisor to executive leadership, strategic partners, and major clients on environmental risk and regulations. • Champion innovation by advancing new methodologies, standards, and best practices in environmental engineering and geoscience. • Increase WSP’s visibility through industry associations, conferences, and technical committees. • Drive business growth through seller‑doer leadership, pursuit strategy, proposal oversight, and pipeline forecasting. • Strengthen cross‑sector collaboration to expand environmental service offerings across geographies and business lines. • Support risk management on major pursuits, including contract review, fee structures, and commercial strategy.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geo‑Environmental Science, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering, coupled with hands‑on leadership of significant environmental programs, is required. Registration as a P.Geo. or P.Eng. in Ontario and qualification as a Qualified Person under O.Reg. 153/04 are mandatory. You should have 15–20+ years of progressive experience in environmental engineering or geoscience, senior oversight of large multi‑disciplinary projects in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, and advanced expertise in site assessment, contaminated sites, remediation, risk assessment, excess soils, and emerging contaminants. A reputation as a senior reviewer, a proven seller‑doer track record, a collaborative entrepreneurial mindset, and a valid driver’s licence complete the profile. • Hold a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geo‑Environmental Science, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering. • Registered as a P.Geo. or P.Eng. in Ontario and recognized as a Qualified Person under O.Reg. 153/04. • 15–20+ years progressive experience in environmental engineering or geoscience, with senior oversight of multi‑disciplinary projects in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. • Advanced expertise in contaminated site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, excess soils, and emerging contaminants. • Recognised senior reviewer and technical authority on complex project files. • Proven seller‑doer track record building long‑term client relationships and delivering business growth. • Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to influence strategy across teams and markets. • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
