About the Role
The role involves reporting and investigating security threats, violations, and compromises; managing classified material accounting, handling, and courier duties; processing security access requests and background investigations; and coordinating with Facility Security Officers, Information System Security Managers, and the local SSO for personnel indoctrination and SCIF maintenance. • Report, document, and investigate security threats, violations, and compromises. • Take corrective actions and monitor implementation of official decisions. • Account for classified material: receipt, distribution, inventory, destruction, reproduction, and disposition. • Serve as Classified Material Courier when authorized and handle secure filing and retrieval. • Access the Defense Information Security System (DISS) to submit and manage SECRET and TOP SECRET visit requests. • Update personnel security databases and track investigative actions. • Coordinate with contractor Facility Security Officers (FSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM). • Process security background investigation submissions and collect fingerprints. • Support pre‑screening, nomination packages, and creation of designation letters for personnel security. • Verify and process Contractor Common Access Card (CAC) requests and all Security Access Requests (SAR/SAAR‑N) for IT access. • Conduct indoctrination briefings and debriefings for applicants approved for classified information access. • Administer annual NCIS counter‑intelligence briefings as directed. • Assist implementation of INFOSEC policies for telecommunications equipment and classified/unclassified computer systems. • Ensure IT systems are properly labeled and follow Navy/DoD classification marking procedures. • Maintain and administer Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) and support accreditation of Secure Terminal Rooms.

What You Bring
Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance, hold a high school diploma, and have 7‑10 years of experience in physical and information systems security. A bachelor’s degree and formal security training (e.g., Physical Security for Classified Programs, COMSEC Custodian, FSO, or cybersecurity) are preferred.
