About the Role

The General Foreman is responsible for planning, supervising, performing and coordinating all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems in new or remodeled facilities, and for planning daily activities for a crew and enforcing safety protocols. The role includes assisting in work layout, pre‑planning daily activities, monitoring quality control, ordering materials, completing documentation such as daily, safety, ESR and inspection reports, coordinating equipment, supporting the Construction Manager, performing trade work, traveling to job sites, implementing production improvements, monitoring crew installation and work areas, seeking safety, quality and productivity gains, promoting company policies, training crew in safe practices, auditing PPE use, assisting HR with hiring and performance issues, supervising craft workers, conducting performance reviews, managing up to six employees and a leadman, and mentoring new workers. • Assist in crew work layout • Pre‑plan daily activities to meet schedule and ensure productivity • Monitor quality control of craft workers’ work • Order and coordinate delivery of required materials • Complete project documentation (daily, safety, ESR, inspection reports) • Coordinate equipment needs, verify operator qualifications, maintain equipment and schedule repairs • Support Construction Manager and General Foreman in project coordination • Travel to different job sites on short notice • Implement production improvements to strengthen best practices • Monitor crew installation and work areas for quality issues • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures • Train and instruct crew members in safe work practices • Audit safe work practices and ensure proper PPE usage • Assist HR and CM with interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and employee complaints • Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers • Conduct regular performance reviews of crew members • Train and mentor new workers • Read specifications and blueprints

What You Bring

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), at least three years of electrical supervisory experience, and ideally a journeyman electrical license. Required abilities include caring for health and safety, interpreting specifications and blueprints, motivating and communicating with workers, basic math, Microsoft Office proficiency, and performing under pressure. • Manage up to six employees and a leadman • High school diploma or GED (preferred) • Minimum three years electrical supervisory experience • Journeyman electrical license preferred • Strong motivation, leadership and communication skills • Basic math and measurement skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office and email • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines
