About the Role
The role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of small water treatment plants within a single defence base. Employees will work collaboratively in a high‑performing, inclusive team to support the nation’s defence capability. • Operate and maintain small water treatment plants at RAAF Richmond safely and efficiently. • Monitor and report water quality, conduct routine inspections, sampling and testing. • Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes under supervision. • Perform basic preventative maintenance on plant equipment. • Report equipment faults or failures to the Leading Hand.

What You Bring
• Hold a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (or equivalent). • Possess Chemical Handling Certification (desirable) and experience in water treatment plant operations. • Hold a QLD Water Operator Licence or NSW Water Operator Certification. • Have Confined Space, Working at Heights qualifications and a White Card (desirable). • Maintain a current open driver’s licence and Australian citizenship for Defence Security Clearance.
