About the Role
The specialist will manage the Automated Document Control System (ADCS), maintain facility accreditation and personnel files, and control visitor access by issuing badges, escorting un‑cleared visitors, and verifying clearance information. Additional duties include conducting security briefings, delivering SETA training, creating PARs in the JADE system, and investigating security losses or violations. Further responsibilities involve inventorying controlled material, overseeing document and media handling—including proper markings and cover sheets—processing security clearances and DISS queries, and developing security policies that comply with the Risk Management Framework and JSIG. The role also requires maintaining purchase‑card documentation and directly supporting the GSSO team to achieve mission outcomes. • Manage Automated Document Control System (ADCS) and ensure accountability of documents and media. • Maintain facility accreditation files, physical accreditations, and personnel records. • Control visitor access, issue badges, escort un‑cleared visitors, and verify clearance via approved databases. • Conduct security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and deliver SETA training for SAPs. • Create and process PARs using the JADE system. • Investigate security losses/violations and recommend corrective actions. • Perform inventories of controlled and accountable material. • Apply correct markings and cover sheets to media and manage document lifecycle (creation, receipt, dispatch, destruction). • Process security clearances, DISS queries, and visitor authorizations. • Assess, develop, and implement security policies; ensure compliance with RMF and JSIG. • Manage purchase‑card documentation to satisfy contract requirements. • Support GSSO team to achieve mission outcomes.

What You Bring
KBR is seeking an Associate Security Specialist to support a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility in Orlando, FL. This on‑site role works within the Security Office to provide essential support services and is not eligible for remote work. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or eight years of relevant experience, the ability to track action items and risk mitigation plans, U.S. citizenship, and an active DoD Secret clearance with a recent SSBI. A preferred qualification is an active Top Secret clearance with a recent SSBI. • Bachelor’s degree or eight years relevant experience. • Proven ability to track action items, develop metrics, and manage risk mitigation plans. • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information. • Active DoD Secret clearance with a recent SSBI (within 5 years). • Preferred: active Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI.
