About the Role

Mechanics will conduct routine maintenance and technical inspections on a diverse fleet of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured platforms, infantry personnel carriers, and tanks. Duties include disassembly, repair or replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials and electrical systems, reassembly, testing, cleaning, adjustment of components, as well as minor body and trim repairs, culminating in the issuance of road‑worthiness certificates. • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, personnel carriers, and tanks. • Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and electrical systems. • Disassemble, reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired parts and conduct minor body and trim repairs. • Issue road‑worthiness certificates after vehicle inspections.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification or equivalent, possess a current Australian State or Territory Class C driver’s licence, and have proven experience servicing light, medium and heavy vehicles. Applicants must be Australian citizens able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance. • Hold a Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or equivalent) and possess a current Australian State/Territory Class C driver’s licence. • Demonstrated experience maintaining light, medium, and heavy vehicles and ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $50.79 plus superannuation, a 38‑hour work week Monday to Friday with early finish on Fridays, comprehensive training and upskilling, relocation assistance for suitable candidates, and full provision of tools, PPE, uniforms, on‑site parking, and a 17.5 % annual leave loading. • Work 38 hours per week, Monday–Friday, finishing at 12 pm on Fridays, with a rate of $50.79 per hour plus super. • Receive training, upskilling, relocation assistance (if applicable), provided tools, PPE, uniforms, on‑site parking, and 17.5 % annual leave loading.
